Why is dat catholic is seperated from christianity.?

i wanted to register at a site and i got to this domain i couldn%26#039;t answer cos i am catholic .i want to know if there is different between this two .i want to know if u are catholic are not christian.

Why is dat catholic is seperated from christianity.?

It is just a branch of Christianity. Catholics are still Christians, but not all Christians are Catholic. x

....

edit: Why are Catholics not saved? I don%26#039;t know what its like in America...but in England Catholics ARE Christians, with very few differences between other Christian denominations. I%26#039;m finding this bizarre.

Why is dat catholic is seperated from christianity.?

Catholics are not saved Christians Because

The only way to be a Christian and be saved, and go to heaven and not eternal hell, is by believing that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). It is impossible to lose salvation (1 John 5:13). Posted By Chris

But Chris you said you only Believed in one Gospel , Your words 閳ユ窔f you look at all Christian apologetics, all these other so-called %26quot;gospels%26quot; that everyone points to were written well after the event and directly contradict Christ%26#039;s divinity閳?

Why do you then quote from those unbiblical Gospels. So I guess when you say you believe in the KJV 100% its not 100% true.

But I like this post better Chris, your words: 閳ユ翻he Bible does tell us to judge. We all judge everything at every moment. How else could we tell if someone was lying?閳?br>

Let me show you Chris How we find out if someone is Lying Comparing the truth to the lie.

--------------------------------------...

Catholic閳ユ獨 Do believe In your above Post Chris , It would be ignorant to think they didn閳ユ獩 So

Chris are you Lying a little bit here.

The Apostle%26#039;s Creed

The Nicene Creed

The Trentine Creed

The Athanasian Creed

Then Chris you say Catholics teach works for salvation. All false gospels of works lead to eternal hell (Galatians 1:6-9).

But you neglect to say that the Catholic Church also teaches you need Grace and Faith as well not just works. And never taught works alone. In other words The Catholic position on salvation can be summed up thus: We are saved by Christ%26#039;s grace alone, through faith and works done in charity inspired by the Holy Spirit.

%26quot;faith alone%26quot; formula is unbiblical language. The phrase %26quot;faith alone%26quot; (pisteus monon) appears in the New Testament only once-in James 2:24-where it is rejected.

Which false Gospels do you speak of you never say.

Another Lie Chris

Chris Then you Say Constantine Made the Catholic Church and is a Pagan religion and Instituted Sunday worship.

Constantine%26#039;s Sunday Blue Law

%26quot;Let all judges and all city people and all tradesmen rest upon the venerable day of the sun. But let those dwelling in the country freely and with full liberty attend to the culture of their fields; since it frequently happens that no other day is so fit for the sowing of grain, or the planting of vines; hence, the favorable time should not be allowed to pass, lest the provisions of heaven be lost.%26quot; -- Given the seventh of March, Crispus and Constantine being consuls, each for the second time. 321 A.D. Or the Edict Of Milan

Constantine reigned from 306 to 337 AD

Evodius was the first Bishop of Antioch, and he is credited with being the first person to call the followers of Christ, %26quot;Christians%26quot;, as shown in Acts 11:26. See Eusebius, book 3, chapter 22.

Saint Ignatius (35-107), the second Bishop of Antioch wrote a letter to the Smyrneans in 107 A.D..

In this letter is recorded the first known use of the words %26quot;Catholic Church%26quot;...

The List of Popes All before Constantine

.

St. Peter (32-67) St. Linus (67-76) St. Anacletus (Cletus) (76-88) St. Clement I (88-97) St. Evaristus (97-105) St. Alexander I (105-115)St. Sixtus I (115-125) St. Telesphorus (125-136) St. Hyginus (136-140) St. Pius I (140-155) St. Anicetus (155-166) St. Soter (166-175) St. Eleutherius (175-189) St. Victor I (189-199) St. Zephyrinus (199-217) St. Callistus I (217-22) St. Urban I (222-30) St. Pontain (230-35) St. Anterus (235-36) St. Fabian (236-50) St. Cornelius (251-53)

St. Lucius I (253-54) St. Stephen I (254-257) St. Sixtus II (257-258) St. Dionysius (260-268) St. Felix I (269-274) St. Eutychian (275-283) St. Caius (283-296) St. Marcellinus (296-304) St. Marcellus I (308-309)

And all the other Saints and Martyrs Of the Church Of Christ. (Catholic Church) Before Constantine.

Can you add and subtract Chris or is it Another little lie Chris

Chris you say They also added books to God%26#039;s Word, books that don%26#039;t belong there.

Catholics didn%26#039;t write the Bible (Canonize).

Humm I guess you never herd of St. Augustine or St. Jerome.

Which books did they add, the ones removed by Luther in the 1500閳ユ獨 That were canonized By the council of Nicea THE SAME COUNCIL YOU SAY FORMED THE Catholic Church. from where your Bible came from [Constantine] .Which using your logic would make your King James Version Pagan.

Try The Decree of Pope St. Damasus I, Council of Rome. 382 A.D The Council of Hippo in 393 reaffirmed the canon put forth by Pope Damasus I...Council of Carthage in 397 A.D.. These were the councils that canonized the Bible not Nicea.

Are you ignorant of Bible History Chris or still another little lie

They also believe false things like %26quot;priest forgiving sins%26quot;. That is nowhere in the Bible.

The Bible says only Jesus can forgive sins. You should avoid catholicism at all costs.

Chris Are you Calling Jesus a Liar, you might want to rethink that one.

Did you remove the following scripture from your Bible or did the Catholics do it.

Are these scriptures in the Bible or not.

I. Jesus Christ Granted the Apostles His Authority to Forgive Sins

John 20:21 - before He grants them the authority to forgive sins, Jesus says to the apostles, %26quot;as the Father sent me, so I send you.%26quot; As Christ was sent by the Father to forgive sins, so Christ sends the apostles and their successors forgive sins.

John 20:22 - the Lord %26quot;breathes%26quot; on the apostles, and then gives them the power to forgive and retain sins. The only other moment in Scripture where God breathes on man is in Gen. 2:7, when the Lord %26quot;breathes%26quot; divine life into man. When this happens, a significant transformation takes place.

John 20:23 - Jesus says, %26quot;If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven. If you retain the sins of any, they are retained.%26quot; In order for the apostles to exercise this gift of forgiving sins, the penitents must orally confess their sins to them because the apostles are not mind readers. The text makes this very clear.

Matt. 9:8 - this verse shows that God has given the authority to forgive sins to %26quot;men.%26quot; Hence, those Protestants who acknowledge that the apostles had the authority to forgive sins (which this verse demonstrates) must prove that this gift ended with the apostles. Otherwise, the apostles%26#039; successors still possess this gift. Where in Scripture is the gift of authority to forgive sins taken away from the apostles or their successors?

James 5:15-16 - in verse 15 we see that sins are forgiven by the priests in the sacrament of the sick. This is another example of man%26#039;s authority to forgive sins on earth. Then in verse 16, James says 閳ユ翻herefore, confess our sins to one another,閳?in reference to the men referred to in verse 15, the priests of the Church.

James 5:16 - referring to the men he was writing about in verses 14 and 15 閳?these men are the ordained priests of the Church, to whom we must confess our sins.

Matt. 9:6; Mark 2:10 Luke 5:24 - Matt. 18:18 - John 20:22-23; Matt. 18:18 -

2 Cor. 2:10 - 2 Cor. 5:18 - 1 Tim. 2:5 - Lev. 5:4-6; 19:21-22 - Acts 19:18 -

Matt. 3:6; Mark 1:5 - 1 Tim. 6:12 - 1 John 1:9 - Num. 5:7 - 2 Sam. 12:14 - Neh. 9:2-3 - Sir. 4:26 - Baruch 1:14 - 1 John 5:16-17; Luke 12:47-48 - Matt. 5:19 -

Are these scriptures in your Bible Chris

Some Scripture verses for Purgatory:

The fact that catholics worship Mary is evidence

Chris Please show me where in Catholic teaching Catholics worship Mary I cant find it.

Quite true. %26quot;Mariolatry%26quot; means the worship of Mary, giving her the kind of honor due only to God (Greek: latria). Since Catholics justifiably give her greater honor than they give other saints, but less than they give to God (and not just less, but a fundamentally different kind of honor), Mariolatry does not exist in Catholic piety. In fact, the Catholic Church forbids Mariolatry because it forbids us to worship anyone other than God himself: %26quot;Idolatry not only refers to false pagan worship. It remains a constant temptation to faith. Idolatry consists in divinizing what is not God. Man commits idolatry whenever he honors and reveres a creature in place of God. . . . Idolatry rejects the unique Lordship of God; it is therefore incompatible with communion with God%26quot; (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2113, cf. 2110閳?112, 2114).

Do I hear the sound of Taps playing Chris on your habitual lying.

Thomas Aquinas once noted that no matter how flawless one%26#039;s logic was, if it began with a faulty premise, then the end result would be a conclusion founded upon error.

%26quot;Honor and glory is in the word of the wise, but the tongue of the fool is his ruin.%26quot;

Sir 5:15

%26quot;But these people, like irrational animals born by nature for capture and destruction, revile things that they do not understand, and in their destruction they will also be destroyed, suffering wrong as payment for wrongdoing.

2Peter 2:12-13

Fear Not! Chris The Lord loves even nitwits! I shall pray for you

A Little song for Chris

Other Replys:The Catholic Church is Christian. In fact, it was the first Christian Church.

People hate what they think they know about the Catholic Church. If they would educate themselves (acutally read Catholic literature), their hatred would stop.

Other Replys:I am Catholic and I am definitely Christian, despite what the anti-Catholics say.

What in particular were you trying to do at that site? Maybe I could be of help.

God bless.

Other Replys:That is like asking, 閳ユ辅hy is a clear sky brown?閳?

You have in your question, a statement that is false.

All Catholics are Christian; Catholicism is the centre and heart of Christianity.

We acknowledge one God in three persons. The only way to the father is through the person of God the Son 閳?Christ Jesus. As the mother of He who is God, Mary is most blessed of all women and given to honour or Lord demands for his mother. {Luke 1:42, Ex 20:12, Rev 12:17}As in John chapter 6, we recognise we must eat His to have eternal life; His flesh which he gave as recorded in the last supper narratives. {Mt 26:26-27; Mk 14:22-24; Lk 22:19-20; 1 Cor 11:24-25} Of the necessity of repentance and baptism in water and the Spirit; that in baptism we are born from above. {Acts 2:38, Jn 3:3} We take him at His word when He said He would build His Church on the rock of Peter, with the authority to loose and bind { Mt 16:18-19}

I could go on but it would take me many years. Look up the Catechism.

http://www.vatican.va/archive/catechism/...

The reason such a question comes about is because of the influence of the common Protestant, unbiblical foundation of disobedience. To justify rejecting the authority given to Peter and the Church, some usurp the power of the Pope and falsely deny Catholics their Christianity.

Other Replys:Apparently you were trying to sign up with an anti-Catholic, anti-Christian group.

Catholics are Christians, in fact the first Christians. Unfortunately, because of the Reformation, anyone can start up a Church, pick up a Bible and interpret it however they please...and so we have the never ending chaos and confusion.

But Catholics know they are Christians...and more importantly God knows.

Other Replys:What site was it? That%26#039;s really odd - people identify themselves as Catholic in every nation on earth.

Catholicism holds Christ at its center. By any definition, it%26#039;s really hard then to say that Catholics are just not Christian. I could see that being accurate about apostate Catholics (those who don%26#039;t believe but still call themselves Catholic), but no one can say that about Catholics (or any faith centered on Christ) in general.

After looking at some of the quite ignorant answers here, let me just call to mind something C.S. Lewis wrote in %26quot;Mere Christianity%26quot;. Because none but the Lord can search the human heart and see where love lies, non but the Lord can determine who precisely is a Christian and who isn%26#039;t.

If you have any questions about Catholicism and what it means, feel free to email me through my avatar - I don%26#039;t judge, I just answer to the best I can.

Other Replys:Catholics are Christians, meaning they are not necessarily separated from non-Catholic Christians.

A Christian is defined as a person who is baptized. A professed Christian also believes in the essentials of the Christian faith, notably in the Apostles%26#039; Creed. A Catholic Christian further accepts the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, participates in the Eucharistic liturgy and sacraments of Catholic Christianity, and gives allegiance to the Catholic hierarchy and especially to the Bishop of Rome.

Other Replys:Catholicism is not Christianity. Catholicism teaches a false gospel of works (%26quot;sacraments%26quot;) that leads to the eternal lake of fire (Galatians 1:6-9).

True Christianity believes the true Gospel.

Other Replys:Catholics are more heavy with Mary than Jesus.
